Lilly # 171 Helps Save a Life - Sept. 18,2003
My 7 year old Boxer, Princess, has been ill with hemangiosarcoma. She had
been
at the vet 4 days over the weekend, released yesterday, & rushed back this
AM.
She was in need of a blood transfusion from a healthy dog. Lilly was typed for
a good match & Lilly donated her blood for her. The vet. told me in the
evening
that Princess perked up when she saw Lilly. Lilly strutted around proud as a
peacock after her donation, that one of the technicians commented "look how
happy she looks". I really think Lilly knew she was helping Princess, &
Princess did too. It was really weird.
Just so you know, a rescued dog, who's life was saved, just helped another in
need. What goes around, comes around. So keep up the good work!!
