12/6/03 - We have now had Ali for six months!! She is doing great, she has gained 5 lbs. and looks fabulous. Ali remains to be very active constantly running around the house after Milo and Brutus looking for some kind of action, Ali even does tricks now like giving the paw, high five, roll over, catch, and she can even walk on her back legs like a person. Ali has been outside playing but now in the winter she loves to wear her sweater on her daily walks to show off her sweater to the other neighborhood dogs. She is just waiting to see what she'll get for her first Christmas with us (I think she has her own personal sized couch, and a new outfit)!! Ali has become our little "poodle", and even though she loves to be very vocal between her barking and her singing, and sometimes she can get a little aggressive we love her to pieces and wouldn't trade her for the world. Ali loves it here and we all love her here too. Hope you have a wonderful holiday!

9/5/03 - Ali is doing GREAT!!!! Like I said before since the day she moved in she made herself right at home. She acts as if she's the boss, she's always running after Milo or Brutus, yelling at them and, stealing their food. When Ali came to us she was pretty skinny, well not anymore... but she keeps herself in shape by running after the boys, and when she's tired she makes herself very comfortable on my bed, she especially loves the pillows. Ali is a great addition to our family, and we all love her (including Milo and Brutus) very much!!!!

7/3/03 - As soon as Ali came in and joined our family its like she has always been here. She made herself at home immediately. She loves all the attention and affection she is receiving. Her favorite place to sleep during the day is on my bed, and when it becomes bedtime she's under the covers in one of my children's bed. She loves to play with our one year old pug Milo, and he loves to have the playmate! They could play and wrestle around for hours. Ali, Milo, and Brutus our 3 year old love each other very much and you can often catch them all sleeping together and even giving each other kisses and cuddling up together. I have to say Ali is always up for something whether its looking for someone to play with (or bother when it comes to Brutus), or someone to cuddle with. We all love Ali, and we are very thankful she is now a part of our family.

6/1/03 - Ali has been adopted.

5/17/03 - Well, little Ali girl is back for what I know will be a very short stay at the wings & halo haven. Unfortunately, Ali's high activity level proved to be as bit to much for the resident boxer at her new home, and was also a bit much for the resident Yorkie. This situation can only be determined on a dog by dog basis, as is evident in my home. She gets along great with my 3 boxers, plays with them for hours on end, wearing each one of them out. But they NEVER lose patience with her, instead they will doze off and she moves on to the next "victim". My Sharpei has no patience for her, and when she grows at Ali, Ali thinks its a game and tries to play more. We need to correct her, because she just does not get it. She thinks everyone and every thing is her personal play pet. My older Pug, who doesn't get around very much, is also a bit intimidated by her activity level, so we need to have her cool her jets around him too. He will never snap at her, but she keeps knocking him over, so for his sanity we try to distract her to other play things when she focuses on him.
This girl is a total love. She will do fine in almost any situation. As an only dog, she will be pretty calm, because there is not the outside stimuli to get her going. She LOVES to sit in your lap and just cuddle, and she gives wonderful kisses. She also loves to play with stuffed animals, and will run around the house with them. She has even picked up the squeaky toys and figured them out. With other dogs she is great, but it has to be the right situation as described above. Kids will also be great for her, and her endless energy will fit in well with younger children. A built in baby sitter, what more can you ask.
She is eating beautifully, and has settled down better in the crate. She no longer "screeches" when left in there alone. Also, her housebreaking issues are definitely improving. Taken out, she will usually do her business quickly, and then there is little chance of an accident in the house. You do need t keep an eye out, as she does have an occasional accident if she needs to go. She is keeping her crate dry each nite.

This is one super girl, and a very typical pug. Feisty girl in a little body. She is waiting for that perfect situation, can you see yourself with this girl? Hurry and get your app in, she won't be here long.

4/6/03 - Hi... This is Allie's first update due on 4/22/03. She is such a sweet little girl. She was spayed about a week ago and is doing very well. When we first got her she was like a feather in the wind.... first you see me then you don't - that's how she whizzed around. She has since calmed down and now become my husband's lap dog. As soon as he sits down, there she is laying on his lap. We are working on her housebreaking. The most heartwarming part for us is that she and our boxer Toby get along so great. They are best buddies and give each other lots of kisses. The love to play together too. Chuckie our Yorkie kinda just deals with Allie and just wants her to leave him alone. She is really good too because she will go and say "Hello" and then off she goes. Allie loves our cats too. We love Allie so much and are so happy that she is now a part of our family. Thank you so much for letting us adopt this precious little pug...... Rose
