9/17/06 - Well, Our little Blazin Razin has left the building. Blaze is going to a great home. He will be so loved and well cared for. We couldn't have asked for a more loving family for him. My daughter is a little sad this is the first time she has cried in a while since a foster has left. I am sure Marco will miss his little partner in crime :) We are taking a fostering hiatus so we can refinish our wood floors but will be back in the swing of things soon.

8/24/06 - I am usually really good about remembering to do updates but I am over due on the Blazin Razins update. Since his gril friend CoCo left blaze has been having to pal around with Marco. Blaze gets along fine with my dogs but since CoCo has been gone and he is just hanging out with Marco and Maddie we are starting to see that he has a dominate personality. he tends not to mess around with Maddie but gets into it with Marco neither one of them wants to back down although right now they are sitting here chewing on the same toy with no issues what so ever. If Blaze is to go to a home with another dog I may suggest a more submissive female.
I did get the chance to test Blaze with my mothers indoor cat. when he sees our outdoor cat he wants to chase because she runs but when he met fat cat she hissed ad gave him a swat and he made no other attempts to get to know her. It only took once for him to realize she did not want anything to do with him.
Blaze is a bit of a barker so apartment living might not be best for him. He barks when someone comes to the door or when he wants the other dogs to play. It is not constant but he does bark but is easily corrected. He has continued to keep his crate dry and has not had any more accidents in the house.
Blaze is a good little guy fun to have around. He has a lot of energy and is always looking for something to do. He is a big snuggle bug as well though he loves to curl up on the couch when you are sitting watching TV he is so funny though if you have a blanket on he uses his head to shovel it out of his way.
All Blaze really wants is your time and love. He's a lot of fun in a little package :)

8/18/06 - Blaze had is wellness visit this afternoon with his girl CoCo and has gotten a clean bill of health. He was a really good boy at the vet and the Dr. said he looked great and we should have no problem finding him a home and I agree completely. Blaze continues to do very well her with strong
eaders and reminders. He is a fun little guy to have around he is excellent with kids and the other dogs and loves to play. He also loves to snuggle up with you on the couch. He continues to do well in his crate. His worst behavior is getting into the kids toys but we just take them away and give him something else. He is a very good boy and will do well in any environment.

8/16/06 - Blaze is doing very well here he is enjoying the company of the other dogs and loves the kids to pieces. He is very quiet in his crate at night when it is time for bed. He does bark when you put him in the crate during the day when you leave the house but he is quiet very quickly.
Blaze will need to go to home with a strong leader so that he can thrive and be the best dog possible. If he goes to a home with another dog the other dog will have to be tolerant of his in your face kind of behavior. He also will stick his head in CoCo's food bowl and eat with her. We try to discourage this but the only way would be to feed them apart and nine times out of ten it is not the way things are done unless you know your dog has a food aggression. Blaze has had a couple of accidents in the house one because my son let him out of his crate and then didn't let him out and another because we were still really learning to read his signals. Blaze is a really good little guy with some strong gentle persistent owners he will be the perfect family pet. Blaze will go for his wellness check at the vet on Friday with his girl CoCo. Oh and he too along with his girl CoCo does chew on stuff that doesn't belong to him the kids toys. We correct the behavior by telling him no and giving him dog toys. This is still a work in progress. Get your apps in for this little guy he is a good boy in a little package. He loves to play and walks well. He loves to go for walks and always holds his head up high.

8/12/06 - Blaze is the newest FOB. He is a 1 1/2 year old Puggle (we believe). He is very excited to be here in the capital district playing with other dogs his age. Blaze is a very in your face kind of dog when he is playing or looking to play with other dogs. He does back off or at least he did with Maddie when she gave him a stern talking to. Blaze and Marco have been going at it since he walked in the door and eventually CoCo the 10 month old boxer joins in. However she quits faster then the boys. Blaze has already shared water bowls and food bowls as well as toys and we have had no problems.
Blaze has been good with me 2 kids ( ages 8 & 4) as I type this he is sitting in the crate with my 4 year old. He seemed really happy to meet them and is enjoying playing with them. Blaze walks pretty good on the leash he tends to pull a little but with correction he does very well. Strong leaders are always helpful :) He has the type of personality your mother warned you about with his good looks and small stature I think it is easy for people to fall for him and I think if you give him an inch he'll take a mile. We have only had Blaze for the afternoon so we will update again as we learn more.
