Domino has been adopted
6/11/06 - We are please to
a do a belated welcome to Domino. Domino is a VERY cute Shih Tzu boy who
we
rescued on 5/6. We were called to rescue him because he was very nervous
and was not showing well in the crate. The shelter knew he would not get
adopted in his current mental state, and also wanted a fair evaluation
on him. And sure enough, when i went to see him he was not very nice.
Clearly he was VERY nervous, and what he really needed was to get out.
Once out of the crate, he almost instantly took a different temperament.
We have pulled several Shih Tzu's in the past, and have totally enjoyed
this breed, so out he came.
Domino was introduced to the pug group almost immediately once he
arrived home, and all went very well. Later in the day, it was felt he
could meet the boxer crew, all three of them. Sure enough, he was
totally fine with them too. Being the new kid, he was sniffed top to
bottom, and didn't object to any of it.
Domino spent a few days here, and them went up to Aunt Tina for 3 weeks.
He got along with all of the dogs there also. Since Aunt Tina was going
on vacation later this month, we took Domino back in, where he settled
right back in.
This guy has the typical Shih Tzu prance when he walks around. He seems
to be sooo proud of himself :o)) He had blended in beautifully with the
gang, and has quickly learned to trust his human caregivers. And at less
then 14 lbs, he is fun to just pick up and carry around, and he really
seems to love it too.
Domino has a wonderful appetite, and finishes all his food. He is also
never last on line when it comes to snack time. So far, he has not given
any kisses from him, but that's ok, we don't take it personally.
When one of the pugs wants to play with him, they get up in him face and
start dancing around him. He falls for the bait, and starts running
around with them. It is very cute to see. He will also occasionally grab
a toy like a stuffed animal and play with it. We really love this guy.
So Domino has gone to the vet and gotten a clean bill of health, so he
is all set for his forever home. We do not have any history with young
children; so we will be looking for a home with kids older then 10. If
you think you would make a good match for this cutie, get your app's in
quickly, because we think that this super boy will not be around long
now that we have let the secret of Domino out of the bag.
