1/25/06 - Wow!!! One and half years with our Dutchman...
Sorry Iv'e been a little lax on the updates, he doesn't like it when I use the computer. In fact
he's looking at me right now with those big huge bug-geyes. I cannot imagine life without Dutch.
How we made it without him is a wonder. Let's see he's had a busy year. Best news is the vet says
that he is at his optimal weight now for his size. The bad news, I put on a few. Good news, he no
longer gives "special hugs".
We recently gave the boy more to smile about as we legitimized him in the eyes of his friends. His
parents are now married, so the talk after the wedding was tough, but he understood that Mommy and
Daddy just couldn't wait for it to be official before adopting him into the family. Both the Rabbi
and the Priest sent a blessing for our little puppy. Also, proud to say Dutch has been accident
free. In fact, I don't think I could say anything bad about our boy. He loves to sleep in. Every
morning before work when I take him for his morning walk it takes a good five minutes to get him out
of his puppy bed. He snuggles in good and tight under his blanket and this one does not like to
wake up. Sometimes I think he sneaks off to some doggie bar up the block because he is awefully
wobbly in the morning. He has plenty of friends in the building from Bessie (his kinda of sister) to
Katie (his ummm girlfriend)also a rat terrier to Misha (60 POUND PIT BULL) in the park (she adores
him but he plays it cool hand Dutch). He is quite the socialite. I think he plays the whole I
lived on the streets thing up a bit. The ladies love his poor puppy makes good atitude, he's a regular
Russell Crowe. Anyhow, he is circling me with his favorite rubber tire in mouth ready for some
before bed tug of war.
Good Night All and to all a GRRRR Raoooo Haroo (sweet dreams)
Big Slurp from Dutch to everyone

11/22/03 - Sorry I've missed some updates. This is one demanding pup. I'm not complaining, he is great. Still not one accident. My family is in love with him, our friends all want to puppysit. He followed a good portion of the NY marathon route in a huge crowd and did great. He was a little insulted when P. Diddy rebuffed his high paw but he got over it. With the busy seaon coming up he has been coming to work wih me. He ussually sits on my coworkers leather chair. He often sleeps on the job, but hey it's a dog's life. OK I have to pack up this pup's lunch box. So Long for now. Everyone have a Great Turkey Day.

9/7/03 - Hmmmm, what to say about Dutch. He's doing great. Slowly, but surely he's putting weight back on. He doesn't mind a bath, likes to play with the cat as much as she likes to ignore him. He has even learned to give a smooch without nibbling off your nose. Everybody thinks he's the coolest. He's usually drawn to people that can't stand animals and they all say the same thing, "He's not so bad". Way to go Dutch, beat the stereotype, dog's can be very smart very cool buddies that can enjoy a good football game or an old episode of the sopranos. We want to thank the Boxer angels rescue one more time for giving us such a great addition to our family. We Love Him!!!

8/5/03 - Dutch's family just left with him...they were so excited they just could not wait one more day!!

8/5/03 - Dutch is pending adoption.

7/29/03 - Dutch is doing well in his foster home here in upper NY state. He is getting along with the other dogs in my home, male and female alike. He continues to do well in his crate and has no accidents in the home. Dutch is a VERY active boy that will need lots of exercise and play time. He is rough when he plays and does nibble and his nails do scratch....so if you have young ones, you will have to be very careful.
Dutch loves to play catch with the toys...I throw them down the hall and runs and brings them back to me.
Dutch will need some basic obedience and a fenced yard as I do think he would run off if given the chance.
He is a real cutie and does love to be pet and cuddled also. I am sure he won't be around long.

7/26/03 - My Boston boy's name is Dutch...a very cute Black Boston approx 1 year old. He was surrendered to us from the shelter last night. I have pictures and will be sending them in when I get home tomorrow.

He was great in the crate last night and has had no accidents. He went to the Boxer Expo with us today and met quite a few nice people interested in him.
