5/13/07 - Here is Frankie, a very cute 3 yr old pug boy. He was turned into the shelter because  he was hit by a car and his leg was broken. There was a concern that he was going to need surgery, and they could not afford that, so they brought him to a shelter.
The shelter contacted us to see of we could help. His leg was set, put in a cast, and he is due for another set of x rays. If all goes well, he will not need surgery. Frankie is your typical pug boy, with the personality to go with it. He certainly does not know he has a broken leg, or a cast on it :o)) He gets around just fine, hopping, skipping, whatever he needs to do to have fun. He gets along with all of our dogs, both big and small, no issues at all. What can I tell you, he is just perfect :o))
Because of the # of dogs we currently have here, we asked a previous adopter of our pugs if they wanted to foster him. They took one look at his face, and of course said yes. I dropped him off to do intro's and all went well. Her three pugs and English bulldog just were happy to meet him. Unfortunately, he developed kennel cough and some congestion soon afterwards, but is now starting to come around.
He is due to go back to the vet this week to have his cast removed and leg examined. Then we will know what the next steps will be.  So come back soon and see how Frankie boy is doing. A sweeter boy you will not meet :o))
