Pertinent Information 5/1/05 - It has been decided that Josh will be staying with his foster mom...he is now 11 yrs old and has been with me for over 1 yr. He has a grade 5 heart murmur and is really slowing down. I feel it will not be fair at this point to move him on to another home..I love him so very much and can not do that to him. So no matter how much time this baby has left he will continue to be very loved here at the Boxer/shih tzu haven. Please keep good thoughts coming for Josh. 1/21/05 - Josh, Josh, Josh....well what can I say about Josh that hasn't been said about this very sweet boy. He has really come out of his shell and is doing great with meeting new people!! He is giving kisses right off the bat. I still tell people to let him come to them but he doesn't seem to hesitate anymore and goes right up to them and kisses away. He has a small bout of diarrhea right now so we will keep an eye on him over the next few days. I just started putting yogurt in his food so maybe that is doing it. Josh is still the greatest, sweetest little boy...I just love him to death and love having him here however, it is not fair to Josh to not have his very own forever home. Please take a second look at this adorable little guy. 1/14/05 - Well not much has
changed...Josh is doing well and is much better with people coming into
the home. He has been with a few people and is very free with his
kisses....you just need to go slow in the beginning. He is also doing
better on his house training. He needs to go out frequently but has been
having fewer and fewer accidents. He is just such a joy to have in the
home....as a senior boy he would love nothing more then to have a home
with a lap to cuddle in all day....any retirees out there that would
like a travel companion or lap buddy to love? Josh is your boy! 11/23/04 -Josh continues to do very
well in my home. I have him on some antibiotics right now as he has a UTI.
That should clear up quickly.

- First I have to correct my error.. Josh is 10 not 12...this will be
corrected in his significant information. Josh is doing very well here in
my home..although he does seem a little out of sorts with all the other
dogs around. I think he would just love to be an only dog with no other
pets to bother him. He is quiet and sleeps most of the day away.
When you talk to him he tips his head from side to side. I really do think
this boy misses his mom and hope someone can fill those shoes and make
Josh a happy boy again.

- Josh arrived at our home yesterday for some well needed rest and quiet.
He was in a local shelter after his owner of 12 years had to go to a
nursing home. Josh was so very scared and upset at the shelter, when the
volunteer went to get him he was shaking and growled a bit....as soon as
she picked him up and got him outside he felt so much better but was still
very scared.
