7/22/05 - Mandy has been with us 6 months now-the time has gone fast. She is doing very well with us. There isn't a lot new to report-she has just fallen into our routine and is one of the family. She stayed at the kennel overnight a few days ago when we went out of town and she was very happy to see me when I picked her up! She really seems to enjoy sleeping, but every once in a while she gets a little energy burst and plays a little. We have been having quite a heat wave and she is very content to stay inside in the air conditioning. She also doesn't mind a ride in the car as long as she can stick her nose right in front of the cold air vent. I guess that is about all for now.
4/21/05 -Mandy is really doing
great here with us. She went to the vet for a check up and some shots
and seems to be pretty healthy. She is pretty much trained on the
invisible fence now so she doesn't wander into the neighbor's yard or
into the street anymore. She sleeps with us every night. She gets so
excited when I tell her it's time for bed-she runs up the stairs and
jumps onto the bed, gets
into her spot and stays there all night. She is just the cutest little
dog! She is getting along very well with Starr. They are really starting
to play and snuggle together. That is about all that is new here with
Mandy. She is really part of our family and we just love her!
3/22/05 - Mandy is doing great
with us after 2 months. She seems pretty comfortable and has really
settled in. She has started playing with Starr, our 7 yr old boxer. She
pesters Starr until she plays with her. Both dogs sleep with us. Mandy
sleeps with her little head on my pillow and Starr sleeps at our
feet-very cute! We have an appointment on Thursday to get Mandy a collar
for our
invisible fence. She tends to wander into the neighbor's yard to go to
the bathroom and she also doesn't know to stay out of the street so
hopefully she will pick up on her training pretty quickly. She has an
appointment with our vet on Monday just to get a baseline checkup and
see if she needs any shots, etc.
Our kids really love her and our 5 and 7 year olds have been very
helpful with taking care of her. We couldn't have asked for a better
little dog. She is awesome!

2/22/05 - Mandy has been with us for a month now and we
just love her! She is such a sweet little dog and has fit right
in with our routine. Our kids(7,5 and 1) just can't get enough
of her. She gets along fine with our 7 year old boxer, Starr,
and every other dog that she has met so far. She doesn't see
very well because of cataracts so it took her a little while to
figure out the setup of our
house. She was a little nippy with us when we first got her but I think she was pretty overwhelmed. She likes to go on walks and rides in the car, but I think her favorite thing to do is sleep! She likes to give kisses, especially to my husband and sit on the nearest warm lap. She has a good appetite and a cute little bark. I trimmed her nails twice already(they were a little long when she came) and she had no problem with that at all. She really is a great little dog and we are so glad to have her here with us! Thank you Tina and BAR! 1/23/05 - Mandy has been adopted. 1/21/05 - Mandy will be on her way to her very own forever home tomorrow!! A great family who has a boxer that they adopted through rescue a few years ago and want a sibling for her. We are very happy for her new family and for Mandy who we know will be very loved! 1/20/05 - Mandy is pending adoption 1/17/05--Mandy is a 10 yr old female Boston Terrier that was brought in from a shelter in NJ. Mandy was in the same home for 10 yrs until her owner moved to an apt and couldn't take her with her.
She is a super girl who gets along with dogs, cats and kids.
She is housebroken and is fine left in the home alone during the
day.
