1/13/04 - Miles has slowly adjusted to his new home. He does like to bully Suki (my other Chin) who is much smaller than him, so we have to watch him closely. We had a few episodes of his biting her, but after spending time out in his crate, he's been better, although he now acts like he's going to bite & stops just short of actually doing it. He has reflux in the early morning & has been on Pepcid AD, which seems to be helping at long last. He also has to be on a very strict diet as he had a severe bout of diarrhea 1 week ago & lost a lot of weight. He's been on an anti-inflammatory plus Immodium AD. Now he's eating pastina mixed with Beech Nut Stage 1 Lamb & he's putting the weight back on & hopefully will be able to slowly get back to eating dog food. We are just awaiting the arrival of a few normal stools. His coat is improving & he will eventually be a really handsome fellow. My vet is working closely with us to get his health to where it should be. He likely will always have stomach problems but a strict diet should solve things once it's all under control.

11/39/03 - Miles has been adopted.

11/26/03 - Miles is pending adoption

11/18/03 - Miles is a 1 yr old male Japanese Chin. He is extremely sweet, neutered and up to date on all of his shots.
Miles arrived in Middletown, NY, Sunday evening, after a long journey from Long Island.
He rode great in the car, is wonderful in the crate and does very well with the other dogs in the home.

Miles has had a couple of accidents, more learning and nervousness then anything else.
I think Miles will do great in just about any home...my biggest concern would to be keeping him out of a home with small children until I can see if I can get some sort of history on him.
Please watch for further updates on Miles.
