8/14/05 - Pugsley has been with us for 6 months now! The old boy has been having more bladder problems, so we brought him to the vet recently: Turns out that not only does Pugsley have cystitis, he also has a tumor on his anal gland...He's on antibiotics; & $350.00 later he seems to be feeling much better, and without any drastic measures, should live a nice full life. Providing the tumor lets him take a dump....;-)  Dr. Cameron called with the lab results, and Pugsley's tumor is apparently benign, matter of fact, it has shrunken significantly. He did have some calcification & a UTI, and should be on antibiotic for the next two weeks. So, other that being slightly deaf, stubborn, & butt-ugly, the old Pugster will be just fine...

3/12/05 - Well it is exactly one month & Pugley has settled in nicely. What more can I say? He's a funny old boy...the farting has decreased significantly, accidents are rare, and his coat is thick & healthy! He hardly sheds any more, too! What a great little buddy!

3/2/05 - OK! Almost 4 weeks & counting! The Pugster is much more at home now, has taken over the couch, and is much less whiny... Also...he now PLAYS with Kukki!!! She tries to wash his face, he teases & grumbles & she's like..."So! You wanna play, huh?" She thinks everything's a game these days. Then they tussle & she tries to wash his face again.... He acts annoyed & then he follows her around! Typical male... Hehe...I love my critters.... :-D

2/19/05 - Well, Pugsley has been with us for one whole week now! What a whiner he is! :-D Follows me everywhere, and "stands guard" wherever I am. He even scratches at the bathroom door when I'm in there....I notice that since he's been here, his shedding had decreased dramatically (he LOVES Nupro mixed in his food!) ,and his farting has decreased...somewhat. Hehe...He is a bit stubborn about the stairs, though. At times he'll bound down the stairs to go out, yet he'll whine at the top of the bedroom stairs...stubborn old boy he is.He loves our big backyard, and seems to be unaffected by the cold...he'd rather sniff around & explore every corner than come inside the warm house! (Kukki, on the other hand, has to wear her little sweater & will sit in the sun, or stand & shiver at the gate...)

2/12/05 - Pugsley came home today after meeting Kukki at his foster home: he rode in the back seat with his new girlfriend(s), and was greeted by the Rottie & the Alpha Bitch Border Collie...all without incident.
He does follow me around, and is a bit vocal, surprisingly. He barks up the stairs at the bedroom & is whining now that Ariel's in bed. He did lift his leg at one point as if to mark, but I saw him in time & yelled "Pugsley! NO!" , and he stopped immediately & kinda slunk toward me as if to say "You didn't *really* think I was gonna pee....?"Hehe....and here he is, just ran up to me for some scritches behind the ear....
I think he'll be just fine....:-D

2/5/05 - Pugsley is pending adoption.
Well, are we overdue for Mr. Pugsly. About 3 weeks ago we brought Pugsly back to the vet because the blood was back and so were the accidents. The vet put him on a stronger antibiotic, and 3 weeks later that seems to have done the trick. Pugsly is accident free. He also looks just GREAT. He has filled out, and has a wonderful appetite. We are watching him now to see that he doesn’t get fat :o)))
He continues to be a wonderful guest. He just gets along with everyone and every thing he meets. He is not a big kisser, but with a face like that, you can’t help but love this guy. He is just toooo damn CUTE!! We love him and he is welcome to stay forever, but we know he deserves his own forever home and he will be getting that very soon.

12/21/04 - This sweet boy came to us on Saturday from a shelter that we adopted our special pug boy Mugsey in
April 2003. The shelter worker remembered us, and thought we could help.
Shocking what an owner surrender to the shelter just 2 days earlier can look like. This poor boy is at least 5 lbs
under weight, and on small guys like this, that is a lot of weight.
As skinny as he is, that is how sweet he is. He has a wonderful and typical pug disposition. A gentle kiss whenever
you ask. He seems to have a slight weakness in his hind legs, with his muscles not very well developed. He gets
along fine, and can do steps with no problems. We will have that looked at by the vet.
He was having a few accidents when we 1st brought him into the house, and we noticed a bit of blood in there. We
started him on antibiotics, and in a few days, his accidents have almost stopped, and there does not appear to be any
blood in it. We will get that looked at too when we visit the vet.
If you are looking for a sweet boy (and CUTE to BOOT) to add to your family, I have your boy right here. Quick, fill
out your app, before someone else snatches this great boy for themselves.
