10/27/07 - Scout has been adopted 10/25/07 - Scout is pending adoption. 10/22/07 - Scout is growing nicely and continues to do well in his current foster home. He is very playful and doesn’t mind roughing it up with the bigger dogs around here. He absolutely adores my kids. He gets so excited when they come home from school or a friends house. I have been walking him on a leash daily. He is still a bit unsure of it but after a few minutes, he walks along proudly. He is going for his first shots tomorrow and then he will be ready to go. Get those apps in on this heartbreaker. He is a very good boy and would be so happy in a home with some kids and maybe another dog friend to play with. Scout is doing very well with his housebreaking. He only has a few piddle accidents now. I have him sleeping in his crate for the night and he still will cry for about a minute before he settles down. He just loves to be by his people and he really isn’t crazy about the crate, although he does settle down. He hasn’t destroyed anything in my house like most puppies do. I keep his teething under control with smoked pig ears. He loves to chew on them. Then he usually lays down for a nap with his teddy bear. Let’s get this little guy a home soon. I will miss him but I want him to have a forever home asap. He can only make you smile. Scout is such a love. 10/7/07 - Scout has been doing great here. He is so sociable and such a good boy. He hasn't damaged a thing. You know how puppies can get mischievous, well not scout. You'd be amazed. He loves to play with my kids and my big boxer babies. He is not timid at all. He is still a bit weary about walking on a leash, but he's only 6 weeks old now. I will schedule him an appointment for this week for his first shots and a check up so he'll be ready for his forever home. You won't be able to get enough of this little guy. He looks more like a black lab, but you can see the fawn from his mommy when he's out in the sun. He also has a cute white patch on his nose and chest. He wiggles and bows like a boxer. I put him in the crate at night and he whimpers for a bit but then he quiets down. Its only a few minutes. He is getting better with the house breaking and he is eating puppy food now with some water in it to moisten it up. My kids carry him around and play wrestle with him and he plays back. He is a great companion for children of any age. Get those apps in. Scout is waiting for the perfect home. 10/4/07 - Scout is an adorable lab, boxer mix puppy that I saved from an unsure fate at a shelter. He had to leave his mother at 5 weeks old because the landlord wouldn't let him stay any longer. He was bottle fed for a week, but I have him eating softened hard food right now. He is friendly to young and old and has been playing with my 3 boxers since he got here with no problems. He will have his first shots before he is adopted but will need to be neutered down the line. Please send in an app for this sweet boy. I have fallen in love with him in the short time he has been with me and I'm sure he will steal your heart too.
