Pertinent Information 8/10/03 - Taco has been adopted by the son of his foster mom. Congrats! 8/9/03 - Taco is pending adoption!! 6/24/05 - Well Little Miss Taco is still here. We came very close to a home for this girl but the family was offered another Chi just days before coming to get this girl. So poor Taco still awaits that special home to call her own. She needs a home with no children and small dogs only. Please consider this girl for your home. If she is an only dog you will get nothing but love from her once she knows you. 5/16/03 - Taco is doing well here at the Guardian Angel. She has taken to me and my family quite nicely. She is protective of me and if she is sitting in my lap and one of the kids or a friend comes by, she will snap at them (sorry Gary). She is getting very playful with us..we take the toys and punch them around her and she runs after them. Taco also loves to play run and hide...I run, shuffling my feet, after her down the hall and when she gets a ways away, I run and hid in my room and she tries to find me. I usually jump out at her and say "I am going to get you!" and she turns and runs away from me again. She really is just the sweetest girl once she gets to know you. She is here and just waiting for that perfect home to come along and love her for who she is. 5/4/03-Taco has settled in to my home very nicely and is now out and about with the other 5 dogs in my home. She is not crated during the day when I leave for work and has done fine with the exception on one or two accidents. She has free run of the house at night as well and has taken to sleeping in bed with me and my pups...Taco's favorite spot is on the pillow right next to my head. Taco knows her name and when you call her she comes running with her tail wagging as fast as it will go. She is always happy to see me come home from work and if for some reason she is in the back room, she will let out a bark or two to let me know where she is and for me to come and get her. Taco goes in on Tuesday to have some bad teeth removed, then will be ready to roll. She will need a family with patience for her to get use to you. It doesn't take long, as long as you let her come to you and don't push her...she really is a very sweet girl just waiting for a home of her own. 4/16/03 - Taco is doing pretty good in our home. She is fine in the crate and loves to sleep in the bed with my son at night. She is so happy when I get her out of the crate in the morning to let her out, she jumps right into my arms:o)) She is however a little settled in her ways and must be approached with caution as she can be snappy. She certainly did not care for my trying to get her out of bed this morning, however she is sleeping peacefully in my lap as I type this. We have to remember she has spent quite a while living in a basement alone so needs to form that trust again with people and in time I think she will do great. Feel free to fill out an application for this girl today! 4/13/03 - Taco is an 8 yr old female chocolate in
color...very scared but settled in nicely to her crate. |
