2/27/05 - Well my little man Tanner went on his merry way this morning at 8am.....he is going to a super home in PA...the family drove 5.5 hours to get him...came in last night, spent 1.5 hours here and came back this morning to do the adoption....he will be living with a senior couple that have nothing better then to dote on him...they are going to speak with their vet about Josh so I may hear from them again soon.

2/16/05 - Tanner is pending adoption

1/21/05 -Tanner my boy...this boy is just starting to come out of his shell a bit. He now follows me around the house some and I have even spotted him trotting down the hall!!
He is good with all the other dogs and doesn't bother with the cats...this boy has a VERY mellow personality and would be a super lap dog for anyone.

1/14/05 - Tanner continues to do well in our home. He went to the dentist and had his teeth taken care of and now has much better smelling breath :o)). He is very quiet and reserved. If you are a senior or know of a senior person or couple that would love to have a lap dog to keep them company then Tanner is your boy. He is housetrained and loves everyone he meets. Please let's find this boy a home...just because he is a senior doesn't mean he doesn't deserve someone's love. Just as we love our elders someone needs to love this boy and give him a home too.

12/22/04-Tanner has temporarily stopped over to my home on his way to a forever home.  While walking through one of our shelters on LI we spotted this cute little guy and offered to take him home with us.  Tanner is approximately 10 yrs old and is such a sweetheart of a guy.
He has been with me for one week at this point and is doing well in my home.  I normally do boxer rescue so I have 4 boxers, 2 shih tzus and 3 cats here and he is fine with them all.
Tanner was given a bath his first day with me and was wonderful....he just stood in the sink and ate it up.  We trimmed up his coat a bit as he had many knots.
He loves to sleep in the computer room with us as there is always someone in here....he curls up on the dog bed and is happy as a clam.
Tanner loves for you to pet him.....he does have a lump we will have looked at under his front right leg that seems to be a bit sore.  And from lack of care and probably repeated ear infections we believe Tanner to be deaf.  Otherwise he is in great shape.  He has had his rabies and 5 in 1 shots....he will have a heartworm test and fecal this week coming.
If you are interested in giving this great boy a permanent home please go to www.boxerangelsrescue.com and fill out an online application.  3 references, a vet ref and a home check are mandatory prior to placement.  We adopt to the New England area only and you must come to the foster home to pick up your new boy who is in the Middletown, NY area.
