5/15/06 -
Trouble has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. He
went very quickly and without a fuss. His breathing was already so
shallow and fast, and it stopped within seconds of the shot being
administered He was not alone, and I believe he knew he was loved.
I also believe in my heart that he was ready to go to the bridge and
be free of the pain that he was in. He was a great dog, the kind of dog
that is the whole reason humans love dogs. I wish we could have known
him longer. We bought a dogwood tree at the garden store this
afternoon and will plant it in the back in honor of Trouble. 4/17/06
- BOY OH BOY have I found a keeper if ever there was one. Trouble
is a huge boy...approx 130 pounds of complete MUSH! He was an owner
surrender to a kill shelter in Manhattan. The shelter was afraid no one
would adopt him and put out a plea for help so Friends of BAR stepped up
and offered this boy and nice warm soft bed like he was use to having
before his family gave him away. Trouble is so very sweet he
certainly did not deserve to be put in a shelter with no hope of finding
another home.
