12/29/06 - Luna is pending adoption

12/13/06 - Sorry it took so long to introduce Luna, but she has been keeping me busy.  Scott and his wife dropped her off Sat 12/2/06 about 1:30 PM a little while after I got home from the airport.  She was a bit nervous and shedding and a little snoopy.  Scott gave me all her paperwork from the shelter, she was spayed there, she has a microchip and she came with a wonderful case of kennel cough.  Luna is about 2 yrs old, she's a white boxer with a docked tail and natural ears.  She doesn't have many manners but she is smart and learns quickly.

Monday evening I took Luna to the Vet. She was very excitable in the vet's office so we waited outside for our turn.  I don't think that she has had many opportunities to explore the outside world so everything is new to her, including riding in the car, and being walked on a leash.
So, because of the kennel cough I'm trying to keep Deuce and Luna separated.  This my friend is no easy task.  You see Luna has the soul of Harry Houdini.  She is a master escape artist.  She just needs to learn boundaries and what is expected of her.
Luna seems to get along with Deuce, she does tend to jump on company but she did  learn sit and come in two days.  She has had some accidents in the house, so you have to stay on top of her.  She doesn't seem to be a chewer, yet.  She doesn't mind the crate but now that she has gotten more attached to me she makes more of a fuss in the mornings when i leave for work.  She doesn't bark much only at strangers.
She eats pretty well and likes to play, sometimes a little rough.  She's very strong. She sleeps through the night in her crate.
Her cough is getting better and the green stuff has stopped coming out of her nose very five minutes. Her heartworm test was negative and the results of her other test will be back in a few days.
