1/30/12 - Greeting from Pennsylvania! Morgan had a great Christmas....she got everything she asked for, and had a great time unwrapping all her gifts. She also had a very relaxing New Years. This month is the one year Anniversary of Morgan coming to our home. How time flies! She is a really great house guest. We love every minute we spend with her. Morgan is not very fond of the colder weather. I'm sure she can't wait for warmer weather so she can spend more time outside. Right now she spends most of her free time snoozing on her favorite chair. Morgan is still waiting patiently for her forever home. She will be waiting right here until that perfect person comes along to take her home!

10/27/11 - Sorry it's been so long since Morgan's last update. She had a great summer and is adjusting to the colder weather. She continues to do great in our home. I have seen a huge transformation in her since the first day she came to our house. She is more accepting of us, and much more loveable. She curls up next to us any chance she gets. At night she usually waits for the ok, then jumps up on the bed with us. Sometimes if you can't find her, she is napping on my sons bed. When she sees the kids school bus pull up out front, she is all wiggles. She likes it when everyone is home together. We rarely call her Morgan. It's usually a mix of Moo Moo, Morgie, Miss Mo, or Morgie Mo. Morgan can't wait to see all the trick or treaters come to our house and help hand out candy.

7/13/11 - Hey everyone, it's Morgan! Just checking in to let everyone know i'm still happy, healthy, and available for adoption. My summer is going pretty great. I think the best part so far was walking around in the creek. I love the water! I get a little nervous when it gets deep, so I stay in the shallow water. I'll have my foster mom send in pictures soon! I'm getting more used to the picnics in the backyard when all those people and kids come over. I am becoming much more social. Other than that, I have just been relaxing and enjoying the nice hot weather. Hope you summer is going good too.

6/16/11 - Well it's finally summer and Morgan is loving every minute of it. We had a picnic at our house for Memorial Day. Morgan did pretty good with all the guests here. She mostly stayed away from most of the people and kept to herself. I think maybe she was a little overwhelmed with everyone. But when someone came up to her she would let them pet her and then go on her way. Morgan likes laying out in the sun during the day when it's not too hot. I put an extra dog bed on the back porch for her. If you can't find her, that's usually where she is. Morgan continues to do great with my kids (ages 7 and 4) and has recently become more affectionate and loving towards everyone in the house. I can tell she has really settled in and accepted us as her temporary home. She also loves loves loves our boxer, Rocky! If I take him somewhere and not her, she is super excited when he gets back and can't stop licking his ears and following him around the house. They are so cute together.

5/9/11 - Morgan recently was adopted, but things did not work out between her new owners dog and her, so she is now back at our home. I don't think the new owners gave her enough time to adjust to a new home, they only had her two days. But she is doing just fine back at our house. No problems at all with our dog or the rest of the family. We are all loving the summer weather. Morgan loves going for walks. I have figured out that shorter walks are the way to go for her. She can't wait to get out there, but usually slows down after about 20 minutes of walking. Usually when people come to the house she gets really excited and starts licking their pants. But lately she has been licking our boxer's ear when she gets excited and he is next to her. It's really cute and his ears get cleaned in the process. Morgan is by far the easiest foster our family has ever had. We love helping rescue dogs by fostering, so we have decided not to adopt her. So she will be waiting here for her perfect adoptive family. I'll be sending in new summer fun pictures of Morgan. So check back soon!

2/12/11 - Morgan has been with us almost three weeks and there is not a single thing about her I can complain about. Not even if I tried. She is just so sweet, quiet and loveable. She never barks....never. Not even when someone comes to the door. My boxer will run to the door barking and making a fuss. Morgan just runs beside him to check out the situation. When people come over she wags her nub and sometimes licks their pants to say hello. Her favorite toy is a yellow squeaky duck. She jumps around with it and lays beside it sometimes. Morgan's nails were clicking on the floor when she walked, so I decided it was time for a trim. This is usually a chore for me, most dogs HATE it. She ran away from me after the first nail. But came right back and didn't even fight me for the rest. I could not believe it. Morgan is patiently awaiting spring so we can do more fun things like take longer walks and go to the dog park.

1/24/11 - After a very long journey yesterday, Morgan has arrived in PA. She just curled up and took a nap on her bed in the car on the last leg of the car ride. When we got home we went for a nice walk with my boxer to make introductions smooth. Morgan was ready to go. I'm not so sure she knows she is 8 years old. If I would have let her, she would have jogged by my side. Later she was out running in the back yard in the snow. It took her awhile to settle down in the house, she would walk around whinning. But that is understandable. I'm sure she is a little confused about what is going on here. She slept at the foot of my bed last night. After a good nights rest her nub has been wagging much more. Miss Morgan is going to fit in very nice here. Check back for more updates.

1/22/11 - Morgan has been a great house guest. As soon as she arrived she instantly got along with Champ. She adjusted well to being in a new place. We haven't needed to crate her. She is fine alone or with Champ when we are not home. She likes car rides,as well as going to the groomers. She also poses well for pictures. We have noticed she has a very cute heart pattern on her chest which fits her personality very well. She is a loving effectionet dog who one day will make a forever home very happy.

1/16/11 -  Morgan is having quite a grand adventure this week.  Her previous foster home could no longer care for her as their own Boxer has become very ill.   He needs all of their time and focus right now.  So......Morgan is having a week long sleep over with Laura and Jeremy while BAR pulls together a transport to get her to her new foster home in PA.   A great big THANK YOU to everyone that has stepped up to help Morgan.  Keep an eye out for her transport posting, and if your available, please, offer to drive a leg.  It may be your one and only chance to actually meet this GREAT gal!
Please check back for more frequent updates and new photos of this happy go lucky lady.

9/19/10 - We all went to the vet on Friday.  Bogie and Cooper had appointments for their annual exams and Morgan came along.  Dr. A had treated her eye back in June when she came to us to foster.  He had used acupuncture treatments and some ointments to clear up an eye ulcer she had.   He's a wholistic vet and uses a lot of alternative types of treatments as well as traditional medicine.  He was very pleased with how well Morgan's eye had healed.  He did an exam and said she's in great health, her weight is 63 pounds and she is very spry, active and happy.   Morgan had a great summer.  She is such a happy dog.  She and Cooper are getting along very well these days and she discovered how much fun he can be.  They play all the time now.  She still loves her food and her treats and is no longer shy about asking for them.  She's very clever and quickly adapts to routines.  She's also very loving and a great family dog.

7/24/10 - I had the opportunity for Morgan to see a couple of my neighbor's cats this past week.  They are older cats and sit around a lot.  My friend's cats are similar.  Unfortunately I don't have access to any kittens.  But at any rate, we went in and the cats were on the sofa and Morgan didn't seem to care at all.  I walked over and she went with me and she got a little interested.  She started sniffing a bit until she got pawed in the face a couple of times.  Then she left.  She never bothered  with the other cat.  So I let the leash go and she just stayed by me and my neighbor.  No big deal.  But the cats weren't running around either.  Given her very calm nature and general behavior I would guess that she is fine with cats in the house.  If it's a really lively cat or one who jumps on her, I can't say.

7/17/10 - Morgan has been with us now since May and I have to say that she has been the perfect foster guest.  She puts my two boys to shame!  Morgan is so well behaved and easy to care for.  I've only heard her bark once and that was when the other two were barking madly at a delivery man.  Morgan loves her people and sits with you contentedly, on the couch only if you let her, or on a dog bed by your side.  She sleeps in the bedroom on a dog bed and lounges late into the morning if you let her.  She is totally housebroken and has had no accidents.  And she certainly loves her meals.  Our vet is wholistic in his approach and encourages homemade food so I do make some of their meals and they also eat sardines and vegetables on a regular basis so Morgan's coat is turning very thick and shiny.  She had some flank alopecia when she arrived which is almost totally filled in and her eye ulcer is about 75% cleared up.  That is about as good as it will get.  Morgan is a very happy boxer girl, very affectionate and generous with her kisses.  I'm sure she'd do well with a family with children as her former family had young children although in her present foster home there are just two adults.  She also gets along well with my two male boxers but would also be fine as a single dog as she is very person focused and just wants to be with you.  I believe she would make a single person a wonderful companion as she would be alert and vigilant yet a loving, easy and loyal best friend. Morgan is a beautiful boxer girl and I hope that someone out there is looking for a perfectly behaved, calm and trusty companion.

7/5/10 - Hi Everybody, it's me, Morgan!  Happy 4th of July! I sure am glad those fireworks are over.  Life's been good except for that.  The weather has been hot so we get outside baths in plastic tubs and get to play in the water.  Cooper is such a goof.  Mom took our picture but he splashed her and got the camera all wet. I guess I like him better now.  He's the type that grows on you.  So, we've been going to friends house and playing outside but we don't go to the dog park anymore because mom thinks it's germy.  We take walks at Williams Park but I'm always afraid of getting lost there so I stay really close. My foster mom says I'm the perfect boxer girl and will make the right person a wonderful companion and best friend.  I'm calm and easy and she says that you will know when you see me that I am the right companion for you. I hope you see me today.  Love, Morgan

6/11/10 - Hi, it's me, Morgan. I had a really exciting couple of weeks but everything has calmed down a lot.  I'm pretty happy here, the food is good and mom gets those texas taffy things that I lovelovelove and I'm settling in. But I know I'm not here forever and I'm waiting for my forever home and hope to find my family soon.  I have a lot of fun here and there's a lot of toys and comfy beds and bones and stuff but it's just not my home.  My foster mom tells me not to worry cause I'm such a cool boxer girl that someone is going to scoop me up really quickly and I'll be treated like a queen.  But in the meantime, I'll stay here with her and foster dad and my two foster brothers. We have a nice yard and go out in the car a lot which I always like.  I also like to play ball or just get my ears scratched. And I play with my brothers sometimes.  Let me tell you about them, they sure are a piece of work!  Well, the older one, Bogey is OK.  He was pretty nice, right from the start and even shared his beds with me and showed me where the rawhide basket was.  But that other brother, Oh Boy!  He's something else!  Cooper is the Adonis of the boxer world but what a shame.  He's not too good at figuring things out and it's easy to fool him.  And to make matters worse, he has panic attacks all the time.  He's enough to make ME nervous and I'm always as cool as a cucumber.  I almost never bark and don't startle easily. I don't destroy furniture or pillows or anything at all. One day I watched Cooper pull the stuffing out of a pillow when mom didn't put him in his crate.  Anyway, there he goes, throwing that pillow all over the room and trying to rip it to shreds.  He was very successful.  I had no idea they could jam so much white stuffing into one little pillow. It was all over the house.  At least mom didn't blame it on anybody by Cooper. He tries to hid behind Bogey and Bogey tries to stick up for him. So, living with these two isn't easy but I know foster mom and dad mean well and take good care of me.  I go to Dr. A to get my eye treated and I think it's getting better.  Well, I'm going to go out in the yard now.  Please think about adopting me.  I would love to be the only dog, but as you can see I get along with others.  I would be your devoted companion and stay by your side.  I'm always in a good mood, mom can attest to that, and easy to care for.  I'll update you soon.

6/5/10 - Morgan has had a pretty exciting first week in her new foster home, meeting her new foster brothers and getting used to a whole new routine, but she has been a real trooper and seems to have adjusted well.  Morgan is a sweetheart of a boxer girl!  She is very affectionate and playful and loves to have her tummy scratched and roll in the grass.  She also loves to eat and is the first to stand in line for both breakfast and dinner.  Maybe she just likes my cooking.  Anyway, she has been a pleasure from the first day she arrived.  She doesn't bark or startle easily and gets along well with everyone she meets.  She seems to be in excellent health except for an eye ulcer which my vet is treating.  She is easy to walk on a leash and does not pull.  She hasn't been around cats so I can't say what she'd do but she is very interested in the squirrels and small animals in the yard and vigorously pursues them.  Luckily they are quicker than she is.  Morgan also loves to ride in the car and is always up for a trip to the store or just about anywhere.  She's also fine to leave at home.  I was concerned about leaving her in the house unattended with one of her foster brothers, not knowing what she would do, but was delighted to return to find 2 dogs, napping.  She did not chew or destroy anything.  I have left her several times over the course of the week now and she has been fine every time.  phew!  One of her brothers always has to be crated and I hate to do that unless it's really necessary.  So, this is a sweetheart of a boxer.  Morgan is totally housetrained, there have been zero accidents and she would be owner devoted based on her behavior so far with us.  This calm, gentle boxer girl will make someone the perfect companion.  Lucky, lucky!
