Can you imagine getting rid of a member of
your family when they start to get a little older? Unfortunately we
have had an unusually large number of senior Boxers, 7 yrs. old and over
who have lost their homes for a variety of reasons. Would you
consider giving a home to one of these calm, quiet, loving souls? Many of these dogs were not surrendered because of their behavior, but, for the most part, the
families life styles underwent some unfortunate changes. Some are, of
course, shelter surrenders. Click on each one of
these great dog's pictures to read their story.
If you have rescued a dog from BAR in the
past, we are offering to let you adopt a senior dog and to waive the
adoption fee.
We are also offering a special to human Sr.
Citizens as well. We will deduct $50 from the $150 adoption
donation for any dog over 7 yrs. old and will reimburse you for the cost
of the amount charged for the examination of a
regular vet wellness visit during the first year .
For further information
please email:
boxerangelsdirectors@yahoo.com and someone will contact you ASAP.
Thank you for considering helping a senior,
Jean Covey, BAR Director of Applications

TOP 10 REASONS TO ADOPT A SENIOR BOXER
by Michele Meehan
10. Seniors dogs usually come housebroken.
9. Senior dogs know the difference between a chew toy and a new shoe.
8. Senior dogs appreciate the fine art of napping.
7. Hyperactivity does not apply to Senior Dogs.
6. Senior dogs already know all the "stuff" you didn't have to teach
them.
5. Senior dogs are VERY easy-going and socialized.
4. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks.
3. They know that the best place in the world is right next to the person who loves
them.
2. There aren't any guarantees about how long you'll have any dog - even a
puppy.
1. Love & Wisdom. Senior dogs understand all and love all! They've been there, done that and know what's important in
life.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!
