July 2003 - The Directors of Boxer Angels Rescue would like to give special recognition to one of our volunteers, Mary Cleet known to many of you as NewYorkBoxerGirl, who has recently made a very generous monetary donation to our organization. She is making the donation in memory of her Boxer, Caesar, who she adopted in January of 1992. She has Caesar's ashes in a little coffin that she given to me when he passed away. He went to the bridge 3/19/01. She keeps the ashes right beside her on a shelf with his pictures, collar, tags and other items that he loved. Mary also has the first rainbow bridge framed with his picture. Mary will be writing up a testimonial to Caesar which will be post in the near future.
We would all like to thank Mary for her tireless dedication to BAR and to all Boxers in need. Mary is always there when you need her, going way beyond what can be expected of any volunteer. She has driven so many miles for Boxer Rescue that we think she should have wings painted onto the side of her vehicle. She has fostered many rescued Boxers and has given them another chance at a full and rich life. Mary, we tip our haloes to you and thank you from the bottoms of our hearts. WE LOVE YOU!

July 21, 2003 - Can you say 501c3??
Do you know what that is?? Well, what it means is ........
WE ARE A TAX EXEMPT ORGANIZATION!!!!! Yup, that's right......we got the official
notice today!!!
We are now recognized by the IRS as an official, real tax exempt organization..
WOW....this is just super news, and something we have been waiting for for some
time. This opens an incredible # of fundraising doors for us! ( We saved all
those emails from our volunteers telling me about all those programs their
company's had but needed 501c3 status to participate in.)
While we are reveling in achieving this status, we thought it was the
appropriate time to publically thank one of our volunteers, Dina Garrow, who
sponsored a Blue
Jeans for Boxers Day at the school where she teachers which brought in over
$500. We used that $500 to apply for our non-profit status which could
potentially bring lots and lots more donations our way. So thank you again
Dina for all your hard work and dedication.
